CLIENT STORIES
REAL HOMES. REAL CHALLENGES. THOUGHT-THROUGH RENOVATIONS.
Every renovation starts with a different house, a different brief and a different set of problems to solve.
These are some of the homes we've worked on, and the thinking behind the finished result.

Julie & Peter
STORY 01
Julie & Peter
South Morang · Multi-Room Renovation
A big renovation while the owners stayed at home.
Julie and Peter came to us wanting a Hamptons-style kitchen with higher benches and proper storage, along with a full refresh of their bathroom, ensuite, toilet and laundry.
They weren't moving out while we worked.
That changes how you plan a renovation. Every day had to finish with a clean, liveable house, while still keeping the project moving.
The brief
The kitchen needed to become the heart of the home, with better storage and higher benches.
The bathroom, ensuite, toilet and laundry also needed to be completely refreshed.
Before construction started, we worked through the brief in detail and used 3D renders so Julie and Peter could see the proposed spaces before a tool was picked up.
The details that mattered
The kitchen included a feature rangehood and carefully aligned drawer fronts, with the lines running down the cabinetry to create one clean, continuous look.
In the master bedroom, we built a feature wall that is actually off-centre to the room but centred to the bed.
It sounds like a small distinction.
Stand in the doorway and it looks perfectly aligned.
That's the kind of detail we enjoy getting right.
Living through the renovation
With Julie and Peter remaining in the house, protecting their home was just as important as building the renovation.
The site needed to be kept clean and organised every day, and the team needed to be respectful of the fact that this was still someone's home, not simply a construction site.
Julie specifically mentioned the respect shown by the team and the effort that went into keeping the site clean and tidy.
The result
A four-space renovation that transformed the way Julie and Peter use their home, without asking them to move out while the work was happening.

STORY 02
Jason & Mikayla
Ringwood · Multi-Room Renovation
Solving a tight ensuite and an unexpected floor problem.
Jason and Mikayla came to us with three clear priorities:
A main bathroom with a bigger shower and bath.
An ensuite with a seated shower.
And a laundry with proper storage.
Simple enough on paper.
The reality needed a little more problem solving.
The ensuite
The ensuite had a relatively tight footprint.
The challenge was fitting a seated shower into the available space without making the room feel cramped.
The layout needed to work practically while still feeling like a proper bathroom rather than a collection of fixtures squeezed into a small room.
The laundry surprise
Once we got into the laundry, we found the floor was uneven.
The space had likely started life as an outdoor sunroom, which helped explain what we'd uncovered.
Before the new storage could be installed, the floor needed to be properly levelled.
It's the sort of issue you don't necessarily see when looking at the finished room.
But if you don't fix it properly, everything that comes afterwards is affected.
Getting the design right
The laundry design went through several revisions before we landed on something Jason and Mikayla were genuinely happy with.
The goal wasn't simply to get the job finished.
It was to find the right solution while keeping the project within the budget they had to work with.
That's part of renovation.
Sometimes the best answer comes after going back to the problem and looking at it differently.
The result
A practical renovation across three spaces, with a tight ensuite resolved properly, an unexpected floor issue corrected and a laundry designed around how the space actually needed to be used.

STORY 03
Eddie & Cinzia
Strathmore · Multi-Room Renovation
Bringing a long-held vision to life in a home full of memories.
Eddie and Cinzia had lived in their home for 25 years before deciding it was time for a change.
They had already worked with a designer and came to the project with a clear vision for the kitchen, pantry, main bathroom, laundry and ensuite.
Warm neutral tones.
Timber highlights.
A consistent feel throughout the home.
Working with an existing home
This wasn't a blank canvas.
The home had been lived in for a quarter of a century, and the renovation needed to respect what was already there while preparing the house for the next chapter.
The recently polished floors created an additional challenge.
We were working across five different spaces while keeping those floors protected throughout the construction process.
That takes discipline from the whole team, not just at the end of the job.
Making the design work in real life
We worked closely with the designer on the master ensuite and robe, making sure the details shown in the renders translated properly into the finished spaces.
The timber detailing was particularly important.
It's one thing for something to look right in a render.
It's another thing to build it so the proportions, junctions and finishes work in the actual room.
The result
Eddie told us the finished experience turned out better than they had imagined.
He also highlighted the attention to detail and the follow-up on every concern throughout the renovation.
For us, that's what this project was really about.
Not making an established home look like a brand-new house.
Taking a home that had already given a family 25 years of memories and making it work beautifully for the next 25.
Our job was to take that vision and build it properly.
